Yalamber Park Dharan

Yalamber Park is one of the most beautiful park located in Dharan, Nepal. Yalamber Community Forestry User Group initially was the oldest group founded in 2053 BS in one hectares of forest area established by Former Gurkha Soldiers. It became official in 2055 BS where 175 households become the consumer of 27 hectares area forest. This group initiated the concept of eco-tourism by forming Yalamber Community Park although working with the small area initially and many people from other districts come here to visit flourishing eco-system.

Yalamber Park is a destination for picnics where many children/students from school visit here to learn by watching animals and plants in this area. Yalamber Community Park is a great place to spend your day. As you enter the park you are greeted with a wooden building that houses a seminar hall and a flower garden. This park is situated inside the jungle where people can also partake in the offerings of a mini-zoo complete with a playground and a children’s park. At the zoo, you will be able to see various types of animals and birds such as anaconda, peacock, deer, dhanesh, huchil, etc. A man-made pond with different kinds of fish can also be found within the park. To add to the attraction of the pond, a bridge has also been built in-between the pond where people take photographs of themselves.

This park is considered to be an important tourism place which is for relaxation in the middle of nature consisting many natural beauties, sceneries, zoo, picnic spot, etc. to make your holiday perfect and memorable. Furthermore, the existence of this park has also helped in the protection of jungle and development of tourism in this area.
