Arun Valley

Arun Valley is the deepest valley one of the deepest valleys throughout the world situated in between of Sagarmatha National Park and Makalu-Barun National Park in the eastern part of Nepal. Trek to Arun Valley is one of the most exciting and enjoyable tours in Nepal, which is considered to be gifted by nature. Arun Valley trek can be starting from Tumlingtar (a small village located on a plateau), which can be reached after an hour’s flight from Kathmandu. Another alternative is taking the flight to Biratnagar from Kathmandu valley and trek via Hille. Starting from Tumlingtar, this beautiful trek follows Chyawabesi, Kothe, Salpa Phedi, Sanam, Bung, Gai Kharka, Puiyan, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, and Lukla. The highest point or summit of trekking in Arun Valley is Salpa Bhanjyang, where you can also visit Salpa Lake (Hindus holy lake) situated at the altitude of 3414 meters. Sherpa, Rai, and Limbu are the main inhabitants in this area, where you can explore and experience the unique culture, traditions, and lifestyles of those communities, making your journey much more memorable. You will encounter the beautiful bloom of rhododendron, firs and spurs forests while trekking in this region.
