Bardia National park is a protected area in Nepal that was established in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park. Covering an area of 968 km2 (374 sq. mi) it is the largest and most undisturbed national park in Nepal’s terai, adjoining the eastern bank of the Karnali River and bisected by the Babai River in the bardiya district. Its northern limits are demarcated by the crest of the Siwalik Hills the Nepaljung-surkhet highway partly forms the southern boundary, but seriously disrupts the protected area. Natural boundaries to human settlements are formed in the west by the Geruwa, a branch of the Karnali River, and in the southeast by the Babai River.
This park is the most undisturbed wilderness area in the Terai providing excellent habitats for most of the endangered species of wildlife and birds such as all of the endangered rhinoceros, wild elephants, the Royal Bengal Tiger, swamp deer, black buck, Gharial crocodile and dolphins. This great range of different natural habitats means that there is always plenty to explore and a great variety of species to encounter. This is a land of endless potential for the wildlife enthusiast – from great migratory herds of the wild Indian Elephant to an incredible abundance and variety of bird life.

If you want full adventure and want to see the Royal Bengal tiger in front of your eyes then go to the jungle walk but not the Jeep or elephant safari. It’s too much adventurous and too much fun. Just go through the dangerous wooden bridge during the jungle walk if you dare to?
This is an incredible experience. You are walking into this amazing park surrounded by all sort of wild animals. Watching wild life is always difficult and not always you can spot the great Nepali predators or wild elephants but it’s always absolutely worth it
Bardiya National park is one of its best and very diverse in natural resource and wildlife. Jungle safari and stay locally in bardiya makes you feel a jungle can be a home. Very amazing place to be. Unexplored diversity will definitely leads you to create unique experience in wildlife. In one word just best out of best. Visit once in your life. You won’t be regret for the decision you made for.
A great place to hangout. One of the best places in Nepal to spend a holiday. Some of the unique animals and birds can be found. A huge blend of natural beauty and cultural beauty. Exotic boat rides, elephant rides and other many exciting things. A must visit place in Nepal.
