Bhedetar

Bhedetar is a Village Development Committee which lies in Dhankuta district of eastern Nepal. It is located 1,420 meters high from sea level and also a border of Dhankuta and Sunsari district. It is a small hill station which is 16 kilometers away from Dharan Sub-metropolis and considered as developing tourist spot. It is said that the name “Bhedetar” was given by travelers themselves considering the fact that there were lots of sheep (Bheda). There is a tower in this place named as “Charles Tower” from where people can view beautiful Dharan city and few mysteriously beautiful hills and beautiful green landscapes.

Bhedetar is famous for its unpredictable weather condition like a moment it hides into the blanket of thick fog and another moment it reveals itself as a crown of urban Dharan. The simple reason to visit Bhedetar is to stay on a peaceful environment watching beautiful scenarios with an interesting type of weather condition and to chill out with friends, families, and relatives to make their holidays worthy.

In a few distances from Bhedetar (around 8 km), there lies a beautiful place named Namaste Falls which is an attractive place for domestic as well as foreign tourists. The fall is about 80 meters high and people from different part of Nepal specially Jhapa, Dhankuta, Morang, etc which are near from there visit this place most in large. The main specialty about this fall is one can see a rainbow like seven color formation while standing close to the waterfall which is in the shape of Nameste and hence this place is visited by many researchers for their researches. Besides Nameste falls, there is a beautiful place named Namje Bazar from where people can view the beautiful mountain Mt. Makalu (fifth tallest peak) and good climate (five times a day climate changes). Shiva jatta is also lies near Bhedetar which represents the divine god Shiva and its view. This place is mainly famous for the waterfall that lies there and hiking and trekking makes the visit of this place more adventurous filled with nature.
