Devchuli Hill Nawalparasi

Devchuli Hill (at the height of 1,936 meters) is one of the tallest hills in eastern Nawalparasi district of Nepal and considered to be a sacred place of worship by Magar people of hills and Tharu people of plains. The hill has its own cultural and historical importance and is one of the best places for hiking and sightseeing and the beautiful hills are regarded as natural gems. Thousands of domestic as well as foreign tourists visit this sacred place (hill) mostly by hiking as the place offers its visitors beautiful sunrise views on the gorgeous mountain, beautiful surrounding for sightseeing and great opportunity to experience ethnic Tharu culture and Magar culture with their delicious traditional foods. The summit of the hill presents magnificent views of mighty Himalayan ranges in the north with panoramic views of beautiful landscapes, valleys and also with the views faraway places from here like as Palpa, Chitwan on a clear day.

However, Devchuli Hill is gradually developing (turning) into the most famous tourist destination and as a beautiful trekking spot. The top of the hill offers various sceneries with mesmerizing and eye-catchy views leading the place to be one of the most attractive places to be visited with its peaceful and cheerful environment. The Committee of the Devchuli Municipality has developed a View Tower of 23 meters high adding more height and beautify of the surrounding as the hill is already situated at the altitude of 1,936 meters. With all of the mentioned attraction and beauty of the place, exploration of Tharu and Magar culture will the unique and possibly there is also a chance to watch wild lives such as Tiger, Elephant, and Rhino in the Madhyawarti forest.
