Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple ( Trek )

Kalinchowk is a Village Development Committee and regarded as one of the heaven on Earth situated at the lap of Gaurishankar Himal at the altitude of 3,810 meters above the sea level located in Dolakha district of Nepal. Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple is one of the attractions here at the top of the hill at the height of 3,842 meters and this is the major attraction for Kalinchowk trek. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati with the belief of fulfillment of visitor’s wishes and desires. The place itself is very beautiful and attractive as the gift of nature offering the gorgeous views of Mt. Gaurishankar, Annapurna, Jugal and Everest with exploration of various unexplored lifestyle, culture and diversities. Another but most important climax of this region is Rhododendron forest with colorful blooms and different species of birds and animals.

The start off of Kalinchowk trek can be made from Kathmandu to Charikot which is about 163 kilometers in distance and takes around 3 hours to reach there with cost of around 400 Nepali rupees. Exploring Charikot with the local people, life, culture, custom, tradition, and way of living is really nice. Hiking around five hours lead to reach Kuri and the walking trail presents impressive views including stunning Himalayan views, smiling local People, Temple -Monastery and beautifully terraced field. A fair walk from Kuri about 1.5 hours lead to Kalinchowk Bhagwati temple on the top of the hill. The temple located in the top of the hill offers the panoramic views of various mountains and also on a clear night Kathmandu can be seen illuminating with lights which look very beautiful from here. The best exploration and enjoyment can be made with the natural scenic view along with rivers, streams, hills and mountains, strolling through hefty snow layers with cool breeze blowing all the way on the trekking trails leading to the Kalinchowk.
