Machermo Peak Climbing

Mt. Machermo is a group ‘A’ peak climbing destination of Nepal situated proudly at the altitude of 6,237 meters above sea level in Mahalangur Region of Nepal. The peak is considered as the most interesting and exciting peak for climbing because the trail leads through Yak pasture towards base camp, which is set up above the rocky meadows and moraine around 5,140 meters. The peak lies on the way towards Gokyo Lake and is a technical peak for climbing, requiring the fine experience of mountaineering or long trekking experience along with physical and mental fitness.

Machermo Peak Climbing journey never disappoint you from scenic and mountain views along with adventurous unfrequented trail, provides the exciting feeling as if traveling through heaven in the earth. Trekking in Machermo Peak offers magnificent views of giant mountains such as Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Cho-Oyu, Kantega, Mt. Kusum Khagaru, Kongde, Twache peak, Mt. Cholaste, Island peak, and many other peaks. However, to reach the summit of the peak, the path is sloppily mixed with rocks and snow, somehow, considered as hardest climb during this whole journey. In addition, while reaching on the top of the peak, you can rest in heavenly nature with gorgeous views of Amadablam, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest, which are truly amazing and eye-catchy.

Trekking Route

Lukla is the starting point of Machermo Peak Climbing trip, where you can reach with a scenic flight from Kathmandu valley of about 35 minutes. The trekking started from Lukla follows the way passing through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Dole, Machermo, Gokyo (visit Gokyo-Ri at 5,340 meters and back to Gokyo again), Machermo base camp and finally summit the peak at the elevation of 6,237 meters. Within 2 days, you can summit the peak to and from the base camp of the peak. The descending trail from base camp follows through Khumjung, Phakding and finally Lukla, which is the ending point of this journey. From Lukla, as previous, take a flight back to Kathmandu valley, completing your adventurous and wonderful trip.
