Seto Gumba (The White Monastry) Kathmandu, Nepal

Located on north-west west hill nearby Swoyambhunath Stupa, in the Kathmandu . The area around the White Monastry (Seto Gumba) is very peaceful and quite. peace and traquility is reflectd from every part of the Gumba. Many people visit here to view sunrise and sunset from the hill. If the weather is clear you can sight the breathtaking view of mountain range. you can visit for meditation practices and for learning about Buddhism.

It is very easy to reach the Seto Gumba (White Gumba) but public vechicle is not available to Gumba. you can start your trip from Sitapaila or Halchowk. It is just 25-30 minutes distance to get the gumba by personal vechicle or by cab. You can reach there by hiking within a hour. It is good place for hikers.

 

The Gumba opens only Sunday 9 am – 5 pm. Entry fee is free for all visitors.
