Taltalaiya Park

Taltalaiya is one of the watersheds, converted into a popular park located at the border of Itahari of eastern Nepal. This is the place where you can see the park with statue of stone. This amazing and wonderful park is located just about 5 kilometers away from the main road of Itahari covering the area of 76.75 hectares, which is big from the view of land coverage. There are five lakes in Talthalaiya where you can get a wonderful boat ride and the rivers, are holy for Hindus and worship water resources as pilgrimages. The park was said to be discovered in 1999 and gained establishment after black-topped roads were built in the place.

The park over here is considered as the great place for hanging out with some religious values, as there are five holy lakes in the place. There is a well-organized and managed zoo inside the park with added decoration which seems so much beautiful and animals like Fox, Deer, Rabbit, Wild Cat, Turkey, and many animals are conserved inside the zoo. The best attraction about this place is considered as the stone statue of the park which was built by Danush Yakhya in 2015. Besides this, there are 28 scriptures built by the artist of different countries including Germany, Israel, India and Malaysia and most of the statues are built by Nepali artists including the contribution of Sunita Rana, Om Khatri, Lalkaji Lama, Dhanu Yakha, Naradmuni Haatmchhali, and Himmat Nemwang. Boat riding is very much enjoyable here in the lakes which costs Nepali Rs.200 to get a boat ride which will be a memorable moment for sure of your life.

However, ignoring the previous condition of the park, now there is well-planned tree plantation, cottages and resting spaces throughout the park. The major tourists of the park are domestic tourists (within the country) and visitors outside the country are mostly from India. A children park also has been set up with children play in the park in 2015.
