Tatopani is one of the most popular and best-considered destinations featuring natural hot water springs located in Kodari village of Sindupalchowk district of Nepal and situated at the distance of about 111 kilometers north from Kathmandu valley. The spot is most popular for the people wanting a refreshing bath in hot water, which is also said to have medicinal and healing powers. The hot springs water have mineral content in the water which provides great advantages in the human body as it helps in blood purification through the elimination of toxins in the body and reactivation of delayed metabolism, especially for those suffering from Rheumatism. Reaching Tatopani from Kathmandu valley is not so easy to travel from public vehicles as the buses are packed with locals who are especially going towards the Tibet border town with the purpose of purchasing Chinese goods which are cheap. So, you can rarely get a sit-in bus instead you might have to travel sitting in the roof of the bus which may be dangerous. Getting there with your private vehicle is the easiest way to reach there with little road obstacles but comfortable for you, that’s important. While it may seem natural to luxuriate in the hot water, be careful not to expose your body to the water for more than 15 minutes at a time, and keep warm under a towel immediately after to avoid falling ill from an extreme change in temperature.
